After 12 years in the environmental consulting industry, Mr. Arnold started SOLA Environmental in November 2019 as a boutique environmental consulting firm focused on providing strategic air quality and environmental consulting services. SOLA focuses on a variety of industries, including iron and steel, liquefied natural gas, petroleum refining, chemicals manufacturing and storage, power generation, and carbon black manufacturing. Mr. Arnold has managed large, medium-sized, and small projects delivering client-focused solutions through technical knowledge, innovation, and expert project management. Mr. Arnold's experience includes:

Lauren Pulley | Senior Engineer
Ms. Pulley has 14 years of experience in providing environmental, health, and safety consulting services. She specializes in air quality matters and air pollution controls. Ms. Pulley's experience includes:
- Overseeing and coordinating the establishment of EHS compliance and management system programs to capture record-keeping, monitoring, and reporting requirements and to ensure sites are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations

KAYLYN Burmaster | Senior Engineer
Ms. Burmaster has more than 10 years of experience in air permitting and regulatory compliance support with an emphasis on industrial facilities and capital project planning. She has supported a variety of industries including various phases of the oil and gas supply chain, liquified natural gas, power generation, chemicals manufacturing and storage, steel manufacturing and data centers. Ms. Burmaster's experience includes:
- Preparation of Title V and New Source Review air permit applications
- Environmental risk analysis
- Site-selection support
- Capital projects management
- Interfacing with agencies
- Development of compliance tools and reports
- Conducting compliance audits
Kaylyn has a B.S. from Louisiana State University in Chemical Engineering.
Hannah Hawkes | Associate Engineer
Ms. Hawkes comes to SOLA with over 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. She has developed water compliance programs as well as ISO programs for startups. She specializes in water permitting and developing standardized work. Ms. Hawkes' experience includes:
- SWPPP, SPCC, and Industrial Discharge Permitting
- ISO 14001
- Capital projects management
- Lean manufacturing
Hannah has a M.S. from Johns Hopkins University in Environmental Engineering and a B.S. from the University of Rochester in Environmental Science.
Ronald vriesman | technical director
Mr. Vriesman has over 40 years of experience. His extensive skillset includes multi-media environmental permitting, development of performance standards, continuous improvement, waste minimization, and sustainability programs. Mr. Vriesman's experience includes:

- Occupational safety
- Management systems
Ron has a M.S. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Environmental Engineering and a B.S. from Michigan Technological University in Civil Engineering.
Blake Stratton | Staff Engineer
Mr. Stratton has been at SOLA over a year, with a skillset that includes:

- EPA Method 9 Certified
Blake has a M.S. from North Carolina State University in Biological and Agricultural Engineering and a B.S. from Auburn University in Biosystems Engineering.
