SOLA Environmental is seeking a Staff Engineer to join us! Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering. Working under the direction of project managers and the company owner, the candidate will provide air permitting and regulatory compliance support to clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct air quality analyses, assess regulatory compliance, and perform regulatory applicability evaluations.
- Develop complete and accurate air quality permit applications for Title V, PSD, and NSR.
- Prepare emission inventory reports; quantify air pollutant emissions and impacts.
- Evaluate air pollution control technologies, including technical and economic feasibility of air pollution control equipment.
- Implement climate change projects, such as greenhouse gas inventories, emission reductions, and energy efficiency studies.
- Assist clients with MACT compliance programs.
- Implement environmental compliance management systems and processes.
- Perform environmental compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform multiple tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a four-year college or university or foreign equivalent.
- Computer literacy, including basic programming, word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office software package.
- Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write technical reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
