Brad Arnold | Owner & Managing Principal

After 12 years in the environmental consulting industry, Mr. Arnold founded SOLA Environmental in November 2019 as a boutique environmental consulting firm specializing in strategic air quality and environmental consulting services. 


Mr. Arnold has led projects of varying size and complexity, delivering client-focused solutions grounded in technical knowledge, innovation, and expert project management.  


His experience includes: 

  • Air permitting and compliance support 
  • Large-scale environmental audit program support 
  • Providing detailed regulatory analysis
  • Air dispersion modeling

Kaylyn Burmaster | Principal

Kaylyn has more than 10 years of experience in air permitting and regulatory compliance support with an emphasis on industrial facilities and capital project planning.  She has supported a variety of industries including various phases of the oil and gas supply chain, liquified natural gas, power generation, chemicals manufacturing and storage, steel manufacturing, and data centers.  


Her experience includes:

  • Title V and New Source Review permitting
  • Environmental risk analysis and regulatory strategy
  • Site selection and capital project support
  • Agency coordination and regulatory negotiations
  • Development of compliance tools and reporting systems
  • Environmental compliance audits

  • Member, Louisiana Section of AWMA


Kaylyn holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University.

Lauren Pulley | Senior Engineer

Lauren has more than 15 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety consulting, with a specialization in air quality and pollution control. She supports industrial clients in developing and maintaining effective compliance and management systems. 


Her experience includes:

  • Air permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Environmental compliance audits
  • Development of EHS management systems
  • Monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting program implementation
  • Federal, state, and local regulatory program support


Lauren holds a B.E. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Vanderbilt University and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Mariah Martinez | Project Engineer

Mariah has over seven years of experience in air permitting and regulatory compliance, supporting manufacturing, chemical, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical sectors. 


Her experience includes:

  • Preparation of non-Title V, Title V, NSR, and PAL air permits
  • Multi-media regulatory analysis (air, stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste)
  • Environmental compliance audits
  • Agency communication and regulatory coordination
  • Tier II and TRI reporting
  • Industrial hygiene sampling

Mariah holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University.

Hannah Hawkes | Project Engineer

Hannah has more than seven years of environmental consulting and manufacturing experiencing, with a focus on water compliance and chemical reporting programs. 


Her experience includes: 

  • Development of water compliance programs
  • ISO system implementation for startup operations
  • Preparation of SWPPP and SPCC plans
  • Tier II, TRI, and TSCA reporting
  • Multi-media regulatory compliance support


Hannah holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Rochester. 

Blake Stratton | Associate Engineer

Blake supports air permitting and compliance projects with a focus on air dispersion modeling and regulatory analysis. 


His experience includes: 

  • Air dispersion modeling
  • Preparation of non-Title V, Title V, and NSR air permit applications
  • Regulatory compliance evaluations
  • General environmental permitting support


Blake holds a M.S. in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from North Carolina State University and a B.S. in Biosystems Engineering from Auburn University.

Kristen Guess | Staff Engineer

Kristen supports environmental permitting and regulatory compliance projects across multiple industrial sectors.  


Her experience includes:


  • Preparation of non-Title V, Title V, and NSR permits
  • Air regulatory analysis and compliance support
  • Development of SWPPP and SPCC plans
  • TRI Reporting


Kristen holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Ron Vriesman | Technical Director

Ron brings more than 40 years of environmental experience, providing strategic oversight and technical expertise across multi-media regulatory programs and environmental management systems.   


His experience includes:


  • Multi-media permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Environmental auditing and performance standards development
  • Waste minimization and sustainability programs
  • Continuous improvement initiatives
  • Occupational safety and management systems


Ron holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University.

Veronica Mojica | Executive Assistant

Veronica supports internal operations and client engagement at SOLA Environmental, ensuring efficient coordination across projects and administrative functions.


Her experience includes: 


  • Accounts payable and receivable management
  • Human resources coordination
  • Project support and scheduling
  • Recruiting and onboarding support
  • Social media and website management


Veronica holds an M.S. in Sports Administration from Concordia University Texas and a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Texas A&M University.
