Class II Air Dispersion Modeling

A major steel manufacturing facility in Alabama was undergoing a significant capacity expansion.  Our team modeled emissions from multiple new and modified sources using EPA's AERMOD modeling system, incorporating site-specific meteorological data, complex terrain features, and nearby source interactions. 


Steps to Success:


  • We evaluated impacts against all applicable National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) increments.
  • We demonstrated compliance across all pollutants and averaging periods.
